Angelique

After 5 miscarriages I was diagnosed with diabetes. After getting my blood sugars under control I fell pregnant again. Nine months later I gave birth to my second child – a miracle.

But being diabetic and pregnant isn’t easy. I was put on an insulin pump, through which I received 500 units of insulin a day. Along with these 500 units came weight gain, a shocking 20kg.

Being on insulin and trying to lose weight is nearly impossible.

I tried and tried and lost a miserable 1 kg. I knew I needed help.

I took that first big step and went and saw Ginny.  She sat down with me and worked out a diet, exercise and insulin plan.

Then out came the calipers and the dreaded scales! Which unfortunately told me things were even worse than I thought they were. But Ginny makes you feel very positive and supports you the whole way.

So I went home to start my new adventure.

Week 1 I lost 2.7kg!

Week 2 1.6kg

Every week I had a weight loss.

After 12 weeks had I lost 12.2kgs!

Totally awesome! I was looking much better and felt great! Now after19 weeks I have beaten all the odds I have come off insulin.

I have lost 20kg. I haven’t finished yet because now I know I can lose more.

Without Ginny I would never have been able to do this.

What does the future hold?

Well hopefully another pregnancy, just one more miracle, and this time Ginny will help me through it and cross fingers I won’t need to go back to the insulin pump. But one things for sure, I know I won’t be gaining 20 plus kilos of fat.

It’s always a hard decision to do something positive out of your comfort zone but I know I made the right one coming to Ginny.

The hard work has paid off!

Ginny I can’t thank you enough for changing my ‘Outlook for Life’

YOU ARE A LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
