My Journey to Me
Hi my name is Carron Hunter. In February 2004 I crossed a barrier. Here’s my story.
I was 34 years old and had 4 children ranging in ages from 3-10 years old. I had spent 11 years being pregnant, breast feeding, giving birth and raising my children with a wonderfully supportive husband. Being a mother and wife were first on my list of priorities. Just being Carron was lost somewhere in there.
Having had 4 kids and my weight fluctuating over the years I had come to really dislike my body. I felt fat and frumpy. I hated what I saw in the mirror. When anyone said that I looked nice I didn’t believe it because I didn’t feel it.
I had been putting off making an appointment with OUTLOOK for ages, as walking in the door would actually mean admitting I had a problem. A week after my 3 year old started kindy I walked into Outlook…… I knew it was “now or never”.
That was the first step to the new me! I was prepared for a battle, as I had never been able to stick to a diet, and exercise programmes bored me, I had no self control and I am an ‘emotional eater’, I really love the taste of food!! I had just about every excuse in the book to justify failure.
success stories
I met with Ginny for an hour and left feeling like I could take on the world. I knew that I could succeed. We had a plan, well Ginny had the plan, but she made it mine. I had a long term goal, and short term reachable goals. After week one and 1.8kg lighter I knew this was going to work, and it was easy! 12 weeks later I had gone from a size 14 to a size 10. I actually had to buy a size small top, and that was a first for me!! I was a new person. I was learning how to eat the right foods and loving doing work outs.
I had with the amazing help and support from the entire Outlook staff, been able to reach the goals I had set. I was and am a different person. It was amazing to have the freedom to feel energetic, able to play and run around with my children. I loved my newly found body, energy and health.
That was just the beginning! Since then I have continued my journey with Outlook.
After becoming so passionate about my success I then decided to train with Ginny to become a Nutrition consultant here at Outlook. I love my job as I have been where my clients have been. And I know how awesome it is to find yourself again!
