Don't let life get in the way.......

The Xmas break is well and truly over. Easter is around the corner. It's time to get rid of the extra kilos that the summer break added before they become permanent.

Schedule your day to include exercise. And then JUST DO IT!!!

Make the effort; make the commitment and do it for yourself. You deserve it stop messing around and putting it off. Make the commitment and once you start to see and feel the results you will be addicted!

Juggling work, family and friends isnt easy but once you get past using life as an excuse to be a couch potato you will start to look and feel so good you'll wonder why it's taken you so long to get up off your tush and get moving.

Here are some ideas to get you going;

  1. Join Outlook! Biased I know but the accountability of training with others really does work. You will start to feel you are missing out if you don't turn up. (watch out for online options and a forum coming soon.)
  2. Don't put off your exercise until later. Grab your gear get out the door and get it done You will feel so good for getting it out of the way. The added bonus is that you will feel energised and clear headed for the rest of the day.
  3. Have a positive visualisation of how you want to look and feel. Put a photo of yourself or someone who inspires you on the fridge. Or put a photo of your head on a photo of the body  of someone who inspires you. Make sure that it is a happy positive and motivating picture. NEVER PUT FAT PHOTOS OF YOURSELF ON THE FRIDGE- they only reinforce the negative.
  4. Believe in yourself. You can acheive anything you set out to do but it will take time, work and commitment.

Set a realistic training goal and "post it note it" on your fridge, mirror, car, desk computer etc.When I have a marathon to train for I surround myself with positive images of the course and doodle the time I am hoping for around the place. It works to keep me focused to keep my training on track.

Have a great week and get training!!
