Goji Berries.
Buy them dried from the supermarket or health food shop.
Also known as the Chinese Wolfberry they are native to Asia and SE Europe, although I used to see them growing freely in the English hedgerows before they became trendy. The birds loved them.
Like most berries they are high in anti oxidants but they are also high in protein at 12-16%, vitamin C, potassium and phosphorus. They have been linked to positive eye health and cancer prevention.

A 20g serve will cost you around 65 calories, the same as a medium sized apple or orange.
Use them to sprinkle on your breakfast cereal, or mix through yoghurt, or soak them and pop them into your smoothie.
They are a good snack mixed with nuts. They also work well in curries or savoury dishes.
